If the liner is up too high, it can block the DFI, making the unit think the drawer is full. If the full notification persists after checking the liner, the DFI lenses might be dirty. The filter works very well and in either instance couldn't detect odors at all. It's important to keep an eye on it via the Whisker app. It connects to your robot, offers to nickname the machine (turd burglar), offers to send you notifications every time your kitty goes potty, to let you know of any errors immediately.
