I would recommend the steady walk along the prom either turn left out of the hotel and you will soon be at the beach and keep walking all tge way to the Melia Costa del sol hotel in Torremolinos , Its about 45 minutes to 1 hour steady stroll, Then just after the Melia take the sharp left alongside the closed Haddi centre hotel , This takes you past loads of little shops and loads of steps but ...03 October 2023. The Mijas bus passes through Benalmadena so its easy enough to get on/off there before or after Mijas pueblo. Again its more about the views than anything else. We will be in Benalmadena for 5 days in July and are taking a daytrip to Alhambra. My concern is that taking the bus is a bit of a hassle : bus to Malaga, bus to Grenada, walking to an urban bus stop, then bus ride to Alhambra. Our preferred bus schedule (the quickest one) would get us to Alhambra at around 11h30, which isn't what we had in mind.
